Freeze-dried floral is the newest and best
concept in floral preservation technology today!
The high degree of color retention and durability makes freeze-dry
florals perfect for any dried arrangement.
What is the process of Freeze Dying?
Flowers are placed in a chamber inside of a freeze dry
machine where the temperature is lowered to -30°.
After 24 hours when everything has frozen solid, the
air is pumped out to create a vacuum. Within this vacuum,
moisture from the frozen flowers will slowly vaporize.
This process is called sublimation. The moisture vapors
are collected into a second chamber of the freeze dryer called
the ice bank. The temperature is then raised several degrees
a day and after approximately 3 weeks the flowers are dried.
This is a slow process that cannot be rushed. The flowers
are either sprayed or dipped with a polymer chemical to prevent
moisture penetration and to add to the durability. The result
is beautifully preserved flowers.

extra steps

We pre-treat and re-hydrate
the flowers before freeze-drying |
| - |
We photographs and take apart your flowers. This is
the best way to keep the shape and color. |
| - |
We post treat after freeze-drying. This coates the
flowers and lightly seals and protects them from the
light and humidity. |
| - |
We frame you flowers and seal tightly to keep the air
out. The air can and will damage your flowers. |
| - |
Not all companies complete these steps
because of the cost and time. This will help maintain
the natural look. |
| - |
Freeze-Dried flowers may slightly change color. The
pink, yellows and peach may fade faster if not tinted.
White flowers may become cream or have a antique look. |
| - |
The amount of sunlight, heat and humidity will be a
factor as to how long your flowers will last. If taken
care of properly they will last for years to come. |
